A Few Side Notes:
1.  I feel so sorry for every man who gets dragged to the Sex and the City spectacle.  Just look at it this way:  it’s an excuse for you to see naked chicks while your significant other thinks you’re just being supportive.  Of course those chicks are like 50, but hey, Kristin Davis (<3) is still hot.  Keep your fingers crossed on that one.  Otherwise, you’re just screwed.
2.  Hasn’t The Strangers been done…twice?  Nobody saw Funny Games so why would they see this one?  That trailer is pretty creepy, though.
3.  The Foot Fist Way could be a solid low-budget comedy.  I caught McBride on Conan last night and he was hilarious.  I might have to see this one if it has a wider release.

According to Fuse President Eric Sherman,

This partnership becomes a major event for Fuse and reinforces our commitment to bringing the biggest and most popular music events to our viewers. If you can’t make it to Manchester this year, Fuse is providing viewers a unique opportunity to experience the energy and music of Bonnaroo, past and present, and Fuse is the only place on TV you can get it.

Bonnaroo takes places June 12-15, 2008 in Manchester, Tennessee and will feature performances by Pearl Jam, Metallica, Jack Johnson, Kanye West and Alison Krauss & Robert Plant, along with more than 100 other bands.

A Few Side Notes:
1.  Wow, what a lame weekend at the movies.  I don’t have kids and wasn’t interested in Narnia when I was young so I’ll pass on Prince Caspian.
2.  Reprise just sounds extremely boring.  Were they going for a Once look with that poster?  Fail.
3.  Does anyone care how the Garcia Girls spent their summer?  I sure don’t.  I wasn’t wondering either.  Thanks for making another space filler on Blockbuster’s shelf.
4.  Sangre could actually be pretty solid as the plot sounds quite original.  But since the release is so limited, we’ll have to wait for the Netflix announcement.

Tom Cruise is going to overthrow the US Government!

… well sorta.

News comes today that Tom Cruise will star as President Ben Cahill in the upcoming film 28th Amendment from director Phillip Noyce.

tom-cruise-2.jpg

The plot revolves around a young US President (Cruise) who discovers that America is actually being ruled by a secret cabal lead by Denzel Washington, who makes a habit of eliminating any threat to the Secret Government.

Tom has been in overdrive attempting to rehab his image, I think if he can keep his mouth shut, pull of a decent M:I 4 and a few more movies like this, the public may just forgive him yet.

Maybe.
