4 Life Hacks to Make You Feel More Energetic
Do you ever get to the middle of the day and you’re just drained? You can’t muster an ounce of energy and you fall into a 2-hour nap? We’ve all been there. In fact, a lot of people might be going through what you go through. This is why it’s essential to pinpoint the problem and start working on a solution. Maybe you spent the whole night mass text messaging your friends, or maybe you just lack the sort of energy to keep you going around the clock, all day every day. But there are ways to make you feel more energized, and give you that boost you’re craving for. Here are 4 life hacks to make you feel more energetic.
#4- Cut Down The Caffeine
Coffee and caffeine drinks make you feel more energetic and give you that boost of energy that you were looking for. But after an hour or two from drinking that cup of coffee, the caffeine effect is going to wear off, and you’re going to go through what’s known as a “caffeine crash”. Once the caffeine effect wears off, you’re going to feel as tired as you were before, or maybe even worse. That’s why it’s best that you cut out the caffeine altogether and go for more beneficial alternatives like green juices, vitamins, teas, and other healthy drinks.
#3- Get a Good Night’s Sleep
Sleeping in till the late hours of the morning or even into the afternoon actually has the opposite effect of what you intend it to have. You will wake up feeling tired and exhausted, instead of energized and refreshed. The best thing you can do is get a good 6-8 hours of sleep every night and try to wake up early in the morning. It may be a bit annoying but once you get over that early bit of morning blues, you’re going to feel energized and awake all throughout the day.
#2- Exercise
Wait, so if I want a boost of energy, I should exercise? Yes! Exactly. It may not make sense but try it and see for yourself. If you’re feeling out of it and low on energy, the chances are it’s just your mind telling you that, not your body. Get up and wash your face to wake your senses up. Then head out for a nice jog, or hit the gym for a workout. I guarantee that by the time you finish with your workout, you’re going to feel more energized than you did before you worked out.
#1- Change Your Diet
When you eat a lot of carbs like pasta and bread, your body is going to kick into overdrive trying to burn all those calories and carbs away. That’s why you get a sense of fatigue after you eat, or during the afternoon. It’s also why you need to change up your diet and opt for more greens and vegetables and fewer potatoes and pasta.
